ERMC 2027 takes place in the International Congress Centre in Katowice (Międzynarodowe Centrum Kongresowe, MCK), right in the city centre.

Address: plac Sławika i Antalla 1, 40-163 Katowice (map)

The building

Opened in 2015, MCK is one of the largest congress centres in Poland. It stands in the Katowice Culture Zone, a former coal-mine site that is now home to the city’s main cultural landmarks: the flying-saucer-shaped Spodek arena, the Silesian Museum and the concert hall of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra. A canyon cuts through the middle of the building to keep the view of Spodek open, and the two are also linked by an underground passage.

Where we play

We will play in Ballroom B (Sala Balowa B), a 400 m² hall. There will also be a separate break area, and meals will be served in another hall nearby, so the playing room stays quiet.

Food and drink

Catering at MCK is provided by the venue’s own partner caterers, who regularly serve large international events and can prepare meals for a wide range of diets, including plenty of meat-free options. Food and drink are also sold at the venue during events. Details of meals during the championship will be announced closer to the date.

Getting there and staying nearby
